The Robert Burns Club of Milwaukee was founded for the purpose
of fostering scholarly discourse about Robert Burns, his Works,
and his culture. This website was created with this purpose
in mind.
From time to time, we have received EMail inquiries regarding
the value of various Burns collectibles, editions and memorabilia.
Due to the complexity of the market for this material, and due to
the difficulty in accurately assessing an item via EMail,
the Club has adopted the following policy

The Robert Burns Club of Milwaukee regrets that we are unable
to provide appraisals or estimates of value on Burns collectibles
and memorabilia, including Burns editions, portraiture, commemoratives,
bric-a-brac, etc. Anyone interested in obtaining such an appraisal
or estimate is advised to seek out a reputable dealer or auction
house specializing in such material.
We are also unable to recommend any specific dealers or auction
houses. Please note that many universities and museums have
art, literature and history departments willing to assist in
identifying certain kinds of Burns materials.
